From evocative nocturnal scenes of industry and decrepit architecture, to dramatic portraits of pristine landscape, Philipp Scholz Rittermann’s work spans opposite ends of our visual environment.

Rittermann's work has been displayed in galleries and museums around the world, and published in numerous books, catalogs and magazines. His work is held in many corporate, public, and private collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris, France.

For over thirty years Philipp Scholz Rittermann has been producing fine art black and white and commercial imagery. His work includes panoramic sequences, landscape photography, urban and industrial photography, and a wide array of annual report and advertising photography. Philipp's extensive experience has taken him around the globe for exhibitions, lectures, and teaching positions.

Recently the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego exhibited Philipp's work in a one person show and published a book entitled "Navigating by Light". It is available for purchase through the museum bookstore at www.mopa.org.
